Ancient kites are built of two long converging low stone walls with a circular enclosure at the apex. The enclosure can range from a few meters to 100 meters in diameter, and the walls may extend for hundreds of meters or even several kilometers. These well-preserved structures provide testimony to the magnitude of the systematic mass hunting of hoofed animals in the ancient Near East.
