De hecho, surgió la conciencia de la necesidad de un estudio preparado del idioma y la doctrina islámica para los predicadores misioneros. Estos elementos caracterizron el éxito de la labor de Domingo de Gúzman y de la Orden de los frailes predicadores, que en varias ocasiones trbajaron para la fundación de escuelas conventuales, también orientadas al aprendizaje de la lengua de los infieles. En este rico contexto surge la obra de Ramon Llull, concretada en la fundación del studium de Miramar (1276). Este artículo, luego de un examen de las experiencias dominicanas en el campo de las escuelas de idiomas, se centra, por tanto, en la fundación de Miramar y en las diferencias que caracterizaron el Studium Lulliano,k donde, junto al estudio de las lenguas orientales, ciertamente tuvo espacio la enseñanza del pensamiento y el arte del fundador. | ||
| 520 | |a In the context of the complex relations between Christians and Muslims towards the middle of the twelfth century, a change of direction can be identified, in terms of a more reasoned Christian approach to the conversion of the infidels. An awareness emerged of the need for missionary preachers to prepare by Iearning the Muslims' language and doctrines. These elements characterized the successful work of Dominic de Guzman and of the friars of the Order of Preachers who, in many instances, endeavoured to establish conventual schools for the purpose, too, of preparatory study of the language of the infidel populations. In this rich context, there stands out the work of Ramon Llull, concretely applied by the foundation of the studium of the Miramar (1276). Thus, after examining the experience of the Dominicans in the field of language schools, this artivle turns its attention to the foundation of the Miramar and to the differences that characterized Llull's studium, where, side by side with the study of the languages of the East, space was certainly given to teaching the founder's thought and Ars. | ||
