總結:In this paper it is studied the presence of graduates in civil and canon law at the University of La Sapienza at the time of the Counter-Reformation, with special emphasis on foreign students and the power of attraction represented by the Holy See in them. We want to show that the University of Rome was an international center that communicated with all European courts and dioceses and in which many ecclesiastics and laity, guided by devotion or by other diplomatic or ecclesiastical duties, took there the degrees of Doctor in civil law, in canon law or in utroque. There were hundreds of Hispanics, French, Poles, Flemings and inhabitants of various points of the Holy Roman Empire. The graduates of the University of Sapienza should not be examined in the field of the European grand tour, but in the perspective of the power of attraction of the Holy See and within the framework of the Counter-Reformation.
