Nella figura neotestamentaria (e in quella biblica nel suo complesso) l'affezione e la devozione — l'adorazione di Dio in spirito e verità — sono in campo fin dall'inizio. La loro apertura è ciò che la manifestazione interpella rendendosi disponibile a essere riconosciuta e accolta come rivelazione. La riuscita di questo accordo è appunto la coscienza di essere nella fede. Finché l'immaginazione teologica orienta l'adorazione di Dio — e di Dio soltanto — in spirito e verità, abbiamo speranza di resistere al nichilismo della caducità (c'è verità nelle cose, oltre il consumo del mondo) e all'idolatria del godimento (l'umano stesso non sopravvive al degrado dell'adorazione). L'ipotesi è che la strategia del discorso parabolico di Gesù non corrisponda semplicemente alla funzione pedagogica di un discorso per immagini, che semplifica la rivelazione di Dio sacrificando la precisione del concetto. La necessità — insurrogabile e insostituibile — dell'originale dispositivo parabolico di Gesù corrisponde piuttosto, verosimilmente, all'impossibilità di trascrivere la rivelazione esatta dell'affezione di Dio in altro modo. This proposal aims to illustrate the importance of the rehabilitation of the theological imagination, by demonstrating its necessity as an indispensable mediator for the revelation of the coming of God. Affection and devotion — the worship of God in spirit and truth — are themes which characterize, from the start, the figures of the New Testament (and in the Bible as a whole). Their openness is what the manifestation challenges, making itself available to be recognized and accepted as a revelation. The success of this agreement is precisely the awareness of being in faith. As long as the theological imagination directs to the worship of God — and God alone in spirit and in truth — we hope to resist the nihilism of transience (there is a truth in the things that go beyond world consumption) and to resist the enjoyment of idolatry. Human beings cannot survive the degradation of worship. The hypothesis is that Jesus' parabolic discourse strategy does not simply correspond to the pedagogical function of speech to images, simplifying the revelation of God, by sacrificing the accuracy of the concept. Rather, the need — irreplaceable and indispensable — of Christ's original parabolic device corresponds, probably, to the impossibility of transcribing the exact detection of the condition of God in any other way | ||
