Le contexte historique montre comment le fragment articule la stratégie argumentative de Pascal en vue du Second écrit des Curés de Paris. La thèse de l'auteur doit donc être comprise dans le contexte de cette polémique, surgie à la suite de la publication des Provinciales, dans laquelle émergeait la question de savoir s'il était légitime de troubler la tranquillité de la communauté ecclésiale pour défendre à tout prix ses propres positions théologiques, contre celles de ses adversaires, au nom de la vérité. After several articles analyzing texts by Pascal according to the processes of rhetorical biblical analysis, this article further examines section Lafuma 974/Sellier 771 of the Pensées in the light of its historical context. The text's composition, built according to a precise series of parallelisms and oppositions, lets Pascal's argumentative strategy towards the Second écrit des Curés de Paris come to light. The author's thesis must therefore be understood in the context of this controversy which arose after the publication of the Provincial Letters, in which the question arose whether it was legitimate to trouble the peace of the ecclesial community in order to defend at all costs his own theological positions against his opponents', in the name of truth | ||
