| Résumé: | We outline the methodology underlying Gavin D'Costa's approach in theology of religions, presenting him as a textual theologian who uses the texts of the teaching office of the Roman Catholic Church as the parameters within which he elaborates a dynamic model in theology of religions. This includes a discussion of D'Costa's interpretative method and his understanding of tradition and development of dogma, showing that he combines a dynamic understanding of tradition with the assumption that no unambiguous rupture of tradition is possible, so that the central matters of the faith show clear continuity throughout history. We show that D'Costa's approach is a clear example of a (Roman Catholic) tradition-specific approach to theology of religions. The strength of his contribution is that he has shown the fecundity of a tradition-specific Roman Catholic theology of religions even when working within the constraints of the magisterial documents. Descriviamo la metodologia alla base dell'approccio, in teologia delle religioni, di Gavin D'Costa, presentandolo come un teologo che si basa sui testi del Magistero della Chiesa Cattolica; testi utilizzati come parametri entro i quali egli elabora un modello dinamico in teologia delle religioni. Nel saggio si mette anche in discussione il metodo interpretativo di Gavin D'Costa come la sua comprensione della tradizione e dello sviluppo del dogma, mostrando come egli unisce una comprensione dinamica della tradizione basandosi sul presupposto che nessuna rottura inequivocabile della tradizione è possibile, tanto che le questioni centrali della fede mostrano una chiara continuità nel corso della storia. Si evidenzia anche come l''approccio di Gavin D'Costa è un chiaro esempio di approccio specifico (basato sulla tradizione cattolica) alla teologia delle religioni. La forza del suo contributo è l'aver mostrato la fecondità di questa specifica tradizione cattolica di teologia delle religioni, anche quando si lavora entro i limiti dei documenti magisteriali. |
