La présente contribution part de Mt 12, 29 et parallèles, i.e. de l'apologue raconté par Jésus à propos d'un « fort » ligoté dans le but de s'emparer de ce qu'il détient. A. Bastit s'interroge sur la place importante faite à ce motif — très présent dans la première littérature chrétienne, particulièrement chez Irénée — dans l'Introduction d'A. Orbe qui, en prolongement d'une ligne de lecture irénéenne, utilise le thème pour relier les deux volumes de l'œuvre autour de l'antithèse péché (lien)/rédemption (libération) et le prend comme base de sa propre théologie de la rédemption comme offrande gracieuse du Fils au Père, par laquelle la corporéité de l'homme se trouvera en échange restaurée et vivifiée. Au passage, Orbe rejette la conception d'un affrontement aux Enfers entre Satan et le Sauveur, illustrée entre autres par Origène. A. Orbe has been widely innovative in his research into the history of the reception of scriptural texts, especially the New Testament, in the first three centuries and beyond. The present contribution starts from Matt 12,29 and parallels, i.e. from the apologue told by Jesus about a «strong one» tied up in order to take possession of what he owns. A. Bastit examines the important place given to this motif — largely present in the first Christian writings especially in Irenaeus — in the Introduction of A. Orbe who, in extension of an Irenean reading, uses the topic to link both volumes of the work to the antithesis sin bound/redemption (liberation) and uses it as a basis of his own redemption's theology as a free offering from the Son to the Father, by which the corporeality of the man will be restored and invigorated in exchange.
