Tel est ce qui se trouve justement interrogé par ces termes de la consécration catholique: «Hoc est corpus meum». Le XIe siècle ne s'y était d'ailleurs pas trompé, et le fameux débat entre Lanfranc et Bérenger fut l'occasion de penser cette distinction essentielle entre corps vrai et véritable corps; là où une perspective logique se révèle incapable de ressaisir ce que porte invisibilement une chair pathique, la parole qui en réalise l'ostension en montre, elle, la nature oblative, dans un événement en lequel il convient de se laisser incorporer pour alors pouvoir la penser. To think about the body and the way in which it reveals itself to the world is also to consider the likelihood of a mode of paradoxical visibility of this body when it gives itself to another, thus surrendering itself. This problematic is taken up in no uncertain terms by the Catholic consecration : «Hoc est corpus meum». The XIth century clearly appreciated this question as illustrated by the famous debate between Lanfranc and Bérenger, which offered the opportunity to ponder the essential distinction between a true body and a real body. When a logical approach appears unable to identify the sensory experience worn invisibly by the flesh, an approach base on the notion of «the word» can express this experience in a way that reveals the altruistic nature of the flesh. In order to be able to reflect on this sensory experience worn invisibly one needs to have been incorporated by the flesh as word. | ||
