The encounter with Karl Barth allows Henri Bouillard to demonstrate, on the one hand, that Barthian thought is evolving and that, on the other hand, it sets aside human experience and its opening to the supernatural. That allows the French theologian to establish that the relation of man to God is both the same time the work of God and the work of man, and, in particular, that the knowledge of God is a revealed knowledge and, at the same time, a natural knowledge; that the analogy of faith does not go without the analogy of being; and that morality and politics are heteronomous in their inspiration and autonomous in their determination. | ||
