Certain problems in recent work are highlighted—disproportion between theory and practice, injudicious rhetoric, Childs's failure to implement his own program, an uncomprehending inertia preference for older approaches—before a brief conclusion that suggests that renewed theological interpretation opens up fresh possibilities for understanding difficult texts such as Gen 22 and Josh 6. | ||
