L’articolo indaga il ruolo dell’intellettualismo in merito al concetto moderno di libertà, che si afferma a discapito della verità. Both the fall of the angel, and beatified souls loving God, intimately and crucially intertwine truth and freedom. This paper contrasts Thomas and Scotus, against Benedict XVI’s contrapposition of intellectualism and voluntarism. It suggests a shortcoming of intellectualism, exploited by the modern dream of freedom at the expense of truth. |
