Solo Maria ha la capacità di togliere il velo della corporeità materiale dell’uomo per farlo pervenire alla visione della somma felicità. Maria’s constant presence in the three parts of Divine Comedy is expressed by Dante with a double movement which humanizes and at the same time exalts the Virgin, not just for her rescue presence, but also as model, as exemplar of supreme human beauty. It is especially in the Paradise that we can find an anagogic lecture of Maria’s figure, because it is the place where Dante tries to represent the irrepresentable, to express the inexpressible. Just Maria can remove the veil of material human body to reach him to the vision of the supreme happiness. | ||
