Cette recherche a été effectuée à partir de sources nouvelles et de la relecture de sources déjà exploitées, croisées avec les « fiches » des registres des condamnés aux galères conservés aux Archives du port de Toulon. Le traitement statistique de l'ensemble des galériens protestants, a permis d'analyser leur motif de condamnation, leur destinée, leur âge et leur profession, ainsi que leur origine géographique. We have identified 300 Protestant galley-slaves who either do not appear in Gaston Tournier's study or are mentioned with an incomplete entry. The research is based on new sources and on the reexamination of existing material, which have been cross-referenced with the entries concerning men condemned to the galleys in the registers preserved in the Toulon port archives. Statistical analyses covering all Protestant galley-slaves reveal the grounds for their condemnation, their fate, their age and their profession, as well as their place of origin. Verzeichnet werden 300 Galeerensklaven reformierten Glaubens, deren Namen entweder gar nicht oder nur mit unvollständigen Angaben in Gaston Tourniers Studie auftauchen. Die Ergänzung erfolgt anhand neuer Quellen sowie aus dem systematischen Vergleich bereits bearbeiteter Quellen mit dem Verzeichnis der Galeerensträflinge im Archiv der Hafenbehörde in Toulon. Statistisch erfasst werden sämtliche reformierte Galeerensklaven je nach Alter, Beruf, Werdegang und Grund der Verurteilung. | ||
