A la différence des manuels de consolation usuels dans la littérature réformée au XVIIe siècle, cet ouvrage se présente comme un recueil de 61 cas de visites pastorales, correspondant à autant de situations d'affliction, auxquelles s'adapte le discours du pasteur consolateur. En dépit de l'originalité de cette mise en forme, prête pour la pratique pastorale, l'ouvrage n'a pas eu le succès escompté par l'auteur. At the end of his life and of his half-century of ministry as pastor of the Paris Church, Drelincourt published as a legacy the Charitable Visits (1665-1669). Unlike most seventeenth century Reformed manuals of consolation, this work consists of a collection of 61 cases of pastoral visitations, presenting as many situations of suffering, to which the language of the consoling pastor adapts itself. Despite the originality of this format, ready for pastoral practice, the work did not have the success expected by its author. Am Ende seines Lebens und seiner 50 jährigen Amtszeit als Pfarrer der Kirche von Paris veröffentlichte Drelincourt ein testamentarisches Buch, Les Visites charitables (Besuche der Nächstenliebe, 1665-1669). Im Unterschied zu den üblichen Trostbüchern der reformierten Literatur des 17. Jahrhunderts präsentiert sich dieses Buch als Fallsammlung von 61 Pfarrbesuchen in ebenso vielen Notlagen, denen die Worte des tröstenden Pfarrers entsprechen müssen. Trotz der Originalität dieses für die pastorale Praxis geeigneten Formats hatte das Buch nicht den vom Autor erhofften Erfolg. | ||
