Ils sont le fruit de rencontres, d'influences et d'emprunts mutuels favorisés tout d'abord par des figures qui se situent au marge du protestantisme. Les parcours d'Eugénie Niboyet et de Jenny d'Héricourt, personnalités majeures de la première vague du féminisme (1830-1848), offrent deux exemples contrastés d'articulation tout à fait singulière entre féminisme et protestantisme. L'analyse du féminisme philanthropique et social de la deuxième moitié du XIXe siècle montre en revanche une adhésion collective de la philanthropie féminine protestante au mouvement pour les droits des femmes. The importance of Protestants (both men and women) in the history of feminism is obvious. However, there are no « natural » relations between Protestantism and those trends favourable to sexual equality. Such relations are the fruits of meetings, mutual influences and borrowings which were at first favoured by characters who were on the margin of Protestantism. The lives of Eugénie Niboyet and Jenny d'Héricourt, main figures of the first wave of feminism (1830-1848) provide two contrasted examples of very uncommon relations between feminism and Protestantism. On the other hand, an analysis of the philanthropic and social feminism of the second half of the 19th century shows that female Protestant philanthropy collectively supported the women's rights movement. In der Geschichte des Feminismus spielen Protestanten(innen) offensichtlich eine beteutende Rolle. Dennoch zwischen den Strömungen, die die Gleichberechtingung von Mann un Frau vertreten, und dem Protestantismus sind die Zusammenhänge nicht selbstverständlich. Die Verbindungen enstehen durch Begegnungen, gegenseitige Beeinflussung und gegenseitige Entlehnungen und vor allem durch Persönlichkeiten, die am Rand des Protestantismus stehen. Zwei wichtige Figuren des Anfangs der feministischen Bewegung (1830-1848), Eugénie Niboyet und Jenny d'Héricourt, können ah gegensätzliche Beispiele dieses seltsamen Ineinandergreifens des Feminismus und des Protestantismus genannt werden. Durch ein genaues Analysieren des philanthropischen und sozialen Feminismus in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrdhunderts zeigt sich jedoch eine allgemeine klare Zustimmung des philanthropischen Frauenprotestantismus zum Kampf für die Frauenrechte. | ||
