La comparaison des deux textes permet de mesurer leur proximité, comme aussi la singularité de la Mappemonde papistique, qui situe l'assaut lancé contre la Babybne romaine par les réformateurs, armés d'évangiles en guise de projectiles, dans le contexte des temps derniers. The History of the Papal Map of the World (1557), a Protestant anti-Roman propaganda work credited to J.B. Trento, an Italian refugee in Geneva, borrowed from little known Italian sources, and in particular the Tragedy of Free Will by Francesco Negri (1546). The comparison of the two texts allows the evaluation of their proximity, as well as the peculiarity of the Papal Map of the World, which situates the assault launched against Roman Babylon by the Reformers armed with the Gospeh in the form of missiles, in the context of the end times. Die « Geschichte der papistischen Weltkarte » (1557) als Werk antirömischer protestantischer Propaganda, das wir einem nach Genf geflüchteten Schriftsteller namens J.B. Trento verdanken, entnimmt vieles aus wenig bekannten italienischen Quellen, namentlich aus einer « Tragödie der freien Wahl » von Francesco Negri (1546). Vergleicht man aber beide Texte miteinander, da fällt einem ihre Ähnlichkeit so wie die Eigenheit der « papistischen Weltkarte » auf insofern, ah dieses Werk den Angriff gegen das römische Babylon durch die mit Evangelien ah Projektilen bewaffneten Reformatoren im Kontext jüngerer Zeiten situiert. |
