Les traités définissant la nouvelle doctrine protestante commencent à paraître en 1523; à partir de 1525, la controverse sur l'Eucharistie conduit, dans un dialogue qui se poursuit jusqu'à la fin des années 40, à l'impression de Confessions et d'Articles de foi. Après la guerre et la défaite du protestantisme, l'édition (catéchismes, liturgies, explications) se concentre sur l'établissement de l'orthodoxie luthérienne, selon la Confession d'Augsbourg. The paper is based on an analysis of 5,700 books published in the city of Strasbourg from 1480 to 1599. Of these, 1086 were identified as Protestant works. These publications were vital to the processus of developing the new faith. The earliest treatises violently attacked the pope, the bishops and the teachings of the Roman church. Meanwhile, the Protestant Reformers were working on the publication of the Scriptures, the foundation of their own theology. In 1522, Luther's German New Testemant was published. This was followed by concentrated publication of Latin commentaries on the Bible. Not until 1523 did the treatises defining the doctrines of the new Protestant faith begin to appear. By 1525, the Protestants were locked in the struggle over the Eucharist, leading to the formalization of the differing teachings in various Confessions and Articles of Faith by 1530. The attempt to stabilize the new doctrines led to continuous printed dialogue through the decade of the forties. After the war and the defeat of Protestantism, publication (catechisms, liturgical works, theological explications) in Strasbourg was focussed on the establishment of orthodox Lutheranism as defined by the Augustana. | ||
