Après cette date, la paix revient et la communauté protestante semble retrouver ses effectifs initiaux. After a period of peace, the main feature of which was financial pressures on Protestants (1715-1740), persecutions start anew, encouraged by the Archbishop of Aix and as a response to visits by Protestant clergy. Of a military nature and thus rather inefficiant against the solid front of the Reformed Churches (1740-1750), they will, at a late stage, be directed against children and aim at their systematic indoctrination (1750-1763). After that date, peace return and the protestant community seems to recover its initial number. Nach einer friedlichen Periode, die zwischen 1715 und 1740 bloss durch finanziellen Druck gekennzeichnet ist, fängt nach den Pfarrerbesuchen die Verfolgung von neuem an, angeregt durch den Erzbischof von Aix (1740 bis 1775). Zunächst mit militärischen Mitteln geführt und daher erfolglos gegenüber der Solidarität der Reformierten (1740-1750), zielt sie dann auf die Kinder, die man katholisch einzuschulen versucht (1750-1763). Nach 1763 wird der Frieden wiederhergestellt und die Mitgliederzahl der reformierten Gemeinde scheint ihre frühere Höhe wieder zu erreichen. | ||
