Par là, très intéressant au point de vue bibliographique, il l'est aussi par les renseignements biographiques qu'il apporte (étudiants, professeurs de l'Académie), enfin par les indications qu'il fournit sur la culture et le mouvement des idées dans une ville protestante à ce moment du XVIIe siècle. This document is the account of a public sale of books whieh took place in Montauban in 1648. It gives the titles of some 50 books — which have become very rare or have even disappeared — together with the prices they fetched and the social and professional position of their buyers. Its bibliographical interest is very great; so are the biographical notes it provides about the buyers (students, Academy professors, etc...) and also the informations it gives on the cultural level and ideas in a protestant city during the first half of the XVII th. century. | ||
