The Ship of Saint Paul: Historical Background

The great Alexandrian grain ships are one of archaeology's unsolved mysteries. The ships were apparently of enormous size and could have been used for more than just shipping grain. One of the few ancient references to them comes in the Book of Acts and describes a voyage made by Saint Paul.
