Summary: | In publishing his book Gott denken. Ein Versuch über rationale Theologie [Thinking God. An Essay in Rational Theology] in 2015, the Berlin philosopher Holm Tetens manifested an intellectual turn to theism within an idealistic framework. This was noticed with a certain astonishment as, in the past, the author attracted attention rather by his atheistic contributions. For some observers this turn to theism was even a kind of an »earthquake in the philosophical guild« (G. Brüntrup). This literature survey collects and focuses the discussion that emerged in the time since the publication of Gott denken. In doing so certain lines of demarcation appear in an ongoing vigorous dispute that is far from over. |
