AB In his oeuvre Raymund Schwager (also) presents a specific biblical hermeneutical proposal. This contribution is an attempt to outline the decisive characteristics of his biblical hermeneutics: the search for basic lines in the biblical canon, the special attention to the question of violence, the particular assessment of understanding biblical scriptures as a testimony of a learning process. The aim of this paper is to analyse the field of biblical didactics with these attentions and to describe possibilities or rather desiderata, which result from the consideration of Schwager’s basic ideas.
