These apocryphal texts contain very few realia and their textual situation is very difficult; nevertheless, for historians, they represent an invaluable source, like other documents, of individual and collective mentalities of the first Christians: objects of history and objects of a history inserted within the Roman empire’s religiosity. To make progress in studying these documents, it is necessary for historians and specialists of litterature to work more closely together. | ||
