RT Article T1 Imaginários religiosos e políticos na América Latina: que relações existem entre eles? = Religious and political imagery in Latin America : what relationships are there between them? JF Ciencias sociales y religión VO 11 IS 11 SP 93 OP 106 A1 Oro, Ari Pedro 1951- LA Portuguese YR 2009 UL https://ixtheo.de/Record/1784854956 AB This text presents a set of ideas proposed by GRIPAL’s research team (Groupe de Recherches sur les Imaginaires Politiques en Amérique Latine), of the University of Quebec, Montreal, about relations between religious and political imageries in Latin America. Such formulations arise from fieldwork in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, México e Venezuela. The sample is composed by two thirds of individuals from disfavored strata, belonging to Catholic and Evangelical segments (mainly Pentecostals and Neo-Pentecostals), and a third of academic students. This text analyzes, firstly, the impregnation of religious imagery in these social and religious sectors, afterwards, the presence of political imagery, and finally, the existent relations between both imageries. It is established, in the text, a dialogue among formulations of the mentioned Canadian group and those proposed by some Latin-American authors about the same subject.
