Итог: | This essay deals with the theory that a theological ethic is no longer possible today. This theory refers to the necessity of having universally valid and rationally substantiated moral standards; at best, a theological ethic is only conceivable as a special morality within the church. The basis for this was the secularization of society and culture in the modern age. However the secularization theory is in itself ambiguous. The purpose of a theological ethic cannot be to formulate a catalog of Christian standards and to justify these from a theological standpoint; it should however consider the prerequisites for forming an ethical judgment (basic anthropological convictions, motivation and shaping of the personality, rationality, the boundaries of human actions). |
