AB This article seeks to analyze the presence of religious agents in the public space in a process of dialogical conflict in which Christian and afro - religious (but not only these) occupy the streets, disputing spaces and meanings of their respective identities. The brief theoretical analysis presented is a first approximation to this singular object, namely, the March State for Life and Religious Freedom and the March for Jesus in Porto Alegre / RS. The focus will fall on the notion of the public as a space for disputes or controversies, which mobilize different ways of being and doing public, as well as mobilizing discourses directed to a specific audience.
