AB The object of our study is the debates and conflicts which happened about the religious spaces of public hospitals of Porto Alegre. The goal is to analyze, from a sociological point of view, the conflicts around these spaces and in which way public agents have managed and negotiated the modeling of these locations, promoting its desconfessionalization. The research evidenced the tendency of desconfessionalization of the religious spaces in eleven public hospitals of Porto Alegre.
