Resumo: | The hypothesis that guides this article is that Trump’s administration, in particular its foreign policy, contributed to a greater articulation between Brazilian conservatives and the American Christian right, fostering the growth of the so-called Christian Zionism in Brazil. Based on the analysis of institutional sites, publicity materials available on social networks and Youtube channels, this article tries to identify when and how Christian Zionism gains strength in Brazil. Although other explanatory factors are recognized, this article argues that the electoral victories of Trump (2016) and Bolsonaro (2018) and their alignments favored the circulation of Christian Zionism movement actors and values in Brazil. |
