Description
Summary:The failure of faith formation in the lives of adolescents is a result of the loss of pneumatological consciousness in the life of our churches. If we are to help our youth toward holistic discipleship, whereby they are properly situated in subjective connection to an objective reality, we must help them recover a sense of God as Holy Spirit. Such a conception will counteract an understanding of God as predictable, utilitarian, distant, and relatively impotent with an understanding of God as sovereign, missional, immanent, and relational, and point youth toward a sense of hope, vocation, presence, and community.
