Description
Summary:The paper published here is the full text of the Charles Moule Lecture given at Ridley Hall, Cambridge on 10 June 2009. In the spirit of entering into a colloquium with the theological legacy of C. F. D. Moule, the paper asks the question: 'What do New Testament scholars have to say to the theologians, and what do theologians have to say to the New Testament scholars when they read the Scriptures together?' It concludes that, though in the past century New Testament scholars and theologians have sometimes allowed themselves to be pushed apart, it is both possible and important that they work together to understand what the Bible is saying today.
