AB Why present an introductory book on religion and science in a journal devoted to the relationships between church and state? An analogy might be that there are multiple churches within the jurisdiction of a single state, just as multiple religions and variants within religion have to relate to a single entity referred to as science. One of the remarkable features of science is its cross-cultural intelligibility, applicability, and consensus despite multiple research programs at the frontiers of current research.
