Summary: | This publication forms part of a larger project of research on attitudes towards sexuality in Judaism and Christianity in the Hellenistic Greco-Roman era. Previous volumes that belong to this project are Enoch, Levi, and Jubilees on Sexuality (2007) and The Dead Sea Scrolls on Sexuality (2009). Meanwhile, Loader has published two more volumes: Philo, Josephus, and the Testaments on Sexuality (2011) and The New Testament on Sexuality (2012). Apart from this impressive research project we should mention two more monographs which were published earlier: The Septuagint, Sexuality and the New Testament: Case Studies on the Impact of the LXX in Philo and the New Testament (2004), and Sexuality and the Jesus Tradition (2005). |
