| Summary: | The critical edition of the works of Bernard, Sancti Bernardi Opera, edited by Jean Leclercq and Henri Rochais together with (for some volumes, including 6/1, which is relevant to the present review) Charles Talbot, was published between 1957 and 1977. The text from this edition (SBO) has been used in several bilingual editions, in conjunction with a German translation, an Italian translation, and a French translation, the Sources chrétiennes edition (SC). This last is currently projected to run to a total of 32 volumes. The three volumes here reviewed (XXII, XXIII, XXVIIIB) contain sermons taken from volume 6/1 of SBO., As stated above, the Latin text of this edition is that of SBO, but with corrections. |
