Summary:A few years ago, a well-known chemical company came up with a brilliant advertising campaign in order to sell its paint and wood primer products, based on the slogan ‘It does exactly what it says on the tin.’ On the assumption that the claim was (and continues to be) true of the products, one can only wish that the same might be the case for books; unfortunately, however, it ain’t necessarily so. Take the present volume as an example. To begin with, its title is misleading.
