It is the author's purpose to compare the oldest extant Hebrew and Greek manuscripts, and to treat each text as an interpretative trajectory witness from the scribe or community wherein it originated (p. 2). This implies that he does not study the variants found in these texts in order to reconstruct the hypothetical original text. He rather seeks to find the earliest interpretations of the Bible, and is convinced that such interpretations are reflected in the earliest Hebrew and Greek biblical manuscripts. | ||
