This volume contains sixteenth-century ‘Cartae Visitationum’ relating to the charterhouse of Louvain (Leuven), edited from British Library, MS Harley 3591 by Jan de Grauwe and Francis Timmermans, the two foremost historians of the Carthusian charterhouses of Belgium. The manuscript contains visitation cartae for the biennial visitations for the years 1505–37, and then for 1559 and 1561. Several other documents appended to these cartae have also been included. | ||
