Description
Summary:This volume is the output of the seventh meeting of the European Seminar on Methodology in Israel's History held in Berlin in July 2002. The topic of the meeting was the history of Judah in the seventh century bce, with special focus on the Josiah tradition. (The subtitle of the book—‘Judah in the Seventh Century’—has been accidentally omitted from the hardback edition.) In keeping with the objective of this Seminar, the primary aim of the papers and of the volume is ‘to address questions of historical methodology’ arising in any attempt to reconstruct a history of ancient Israel.
