AB This is the first of the four volumes, due to be published between 2006 and 2009, of the new edition of the decrees of ecumenical and general councils, in their Greek and Latin original. It may be seen as a successor to G. Alberigo et al. (eds.), Conciliorum Oecumenicorum Decreta (third edn., 1973), which was subsequently expanded into several bilingual editions that provided a translation into a modern language to face each page of the original Greek or Latin text (English version, Decrees of the Ecumenical Councils, ed. Tanner, 1990).
