Description
Summary:Following on from similar volumes on the Psalms and Isaiah in the New Testament, Moyise and Menken offer the third volume in this series of studies, treating the text of Deuteronomy in the New Testament and the Second Temple period more generally. The editors note that the trio of Psalms, Isaiah, and Deuteronomy comprise the most frequently cited works from the Hebrew scriptures used by New Testament writers as a whole. It is not stated in the preface if now having covered the ‘big three’ that this project is at an end, or if other volumes will be added covering some of the remaining writings of the Old Testament. The volume comprises a collection of ten essays which analyse the use of Deuteronomy in a range of New Testament writings.
