Lienhard offers a very clear summary of the theology of Marcellus’ Contra Asterium and of the responses to it in the writings of Eusebius of Caesarea, the eastern creeds of the period 341–51, and a number of anti-Sabellian (though actually anti-Marcellan) tracts of anonymous or doubtful authorship. | ||
