He provides a fascinating eyewitness account of his community during the terrible plague of 1630. The journal shows throughout Lucchini's concern to protect the monks from the contagion. Lucchini was also troubled with safeguarding observance within the enclosure, but was not indifferent to the sufferings of the citizens of Bologna. | ||
