It is now accompanied by this, the third volume. It will be of particular interest to students of the medieval English charterhouses, as it contains detailed entries for the Provincia Angliae by the present reviewer (pp. 362–456). There is also a brief section on St Hugh's Charterhouse (Parkminster), the only Carthusian house in modern Britain. Aside from the English charterhouses, there are entries for Perth, the only charterhouse founded in Scotland (1429), and the short-lived Irish charterhouse of Kinalehin (1249/56–1341), which was not technically part of the English province.
