Description
Summary:This book has two aims: firstly, to provide new critical texts of the Roman synodical formulae and accompanying Eastern subscriptions found in the Codex Veronensis LX and dating from the 370s; secondly, to establish that these fragments demonstrate that communion was restored between Damasus of Rome and Meletius of Antioch before the latter's death while presiding at the Council of Constantinople in 381. The Codex Veronensis has been in the possession of the cathedral chapter of Verona since the tenth century.
