However, in the last decade or so, it has experienced even more interest with the publication of two important collections of essays (edited by Jefford and Draper respectively), at least two large commentaries (by Niederwimmer and Milavec), and the massive detailed joint study by Flusser and van de Sandt, as well as other monographs and essays. It has always been agreed that the Didache and/or the possible community that lies behind it were closely related to the Gospel of Matthew (given, for example, the number of parallels that exist between the two texts).
