There is the evidential problem: granted that there is no logical inconsistency in theism, does the existence or the amount of evil in the world provide evidence against its truth? And there is the religious problem, which faces any individual believer who is hit by serious evil in his or her own life—how do I cope with this?, The point of the subtitle is that Feinberg is not simply giving his own answers to these questions. |
