Description
Summary:This book is very full and detailed; it is also rather good. The point of the main title is that Feinberg sees at least three different ‘problems of evil’. There is the logical problem: is there a logical inconsistency in someone who believes in a good, all-powerful, and all-knowing God and yet admits the existence of evil? There is the evidential problem: granted that there is no logical inconsistency in theism, does the existence or the amount of evil in the world provide evidence against its truth? And there is the religious problem, which faces any individual believer who is hit by serious evil in his or her own life—how do I cope with this?, The point of the subtitle is that Feinberg is not simply giving his own answers to these questions.
