Their message was not in any sense good news of Christ: this was simply not their concern. ‘Their concerns did not arise from inter-Christian opposition to Paul or his supposed Law-free gospel, and they did not arrive suddenly from outside Galatia’ (p. 317). The addressees of Paul's letter were ‘Jesus sub-groups’ of the larger Jewish communities at this time. | ||
