It would seem to follow that it will be almost impossible to say anything very definite about ‘The Function of the Old Testament in the New’ (especially if the singular is intended). And indeed some of the contributors are suitably tentative in their conclusions. For example, Evans himself has a long chapter (pp. 44–91) on the possible relevance of the Aramaic Psalter for New Testament study. | ||
