The report by the Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (CRL Rights Commission) in South Africa reveals that most leaders of nonaligned neo-Pentecostalism enjoy many financial and material benefits and that such a lifestyle is attracting many young people to become pastors.1 There is a general argument that the church in Africa is incapable of putting its house in order.2 Such views justify the governments to formulate laws and policies that require religious groups to register in order to operate.
