| 520 | |a Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht die Reaktionen in der italienischen „katholischen Welt“ angesichts der amerikanischen militärischen Eskalation in Vietnam (1963-68). Der Artikel basiert sich dabei auf das Studium der wichtigsten italienischen katholischen Zeitschriften und auf die in den Hauptarchiven katholischer Organisationen bewahrte Dokumentation. Die wichtigsten Fragen betreffen die Analyse des religiösen und politischen Protestes gegen den Krieg. Insbesondere wird die Entwicklung der Diskussion im italienischen Katholizismus nach dem 2. Vatikanischen Konzil untersucht, bei der die Kritik sich von der katholischen Linken zur römischen Kirche und zur christlich-demokratischen Partei, der Komplizität mit der amerikanischen Regierung vorgewurfen wurde, hin bewegte und schließlich in die 68er Protestbewegung des säkularistischen Zeitalters mündete. Man kann die Ursprünge der Krise des italienischen Katholizismus in den 60er Jahren in der Debatte um den Vietnamkrieg identifizieren, nämlich die Trennung zwischen Glaube und Politik und den Niedergang des politischen Systems. | ||
| 520 | |a The paper aims to investigate the reactions in the Italian « Catholic World » in the face of the American military escalation in Vietnam (1963-1968). This work is based on the study of the mains Italian Catholic periodicals like so on the documentation conserved in the principal archives of the Catholic organisations. The principal outcomes concerns the analysis of the religious and political protest against the War. Particularly, the research stresses the development of the discussion into the Italian Catholicism after Vatican II : from the critic moved by the Catholic Left to the Roman Church and to the Christian democracy party, charged of complicity with the American government, up to the growing of the Protest of ’68 in the age of secularisation. In the debate concerning the War it is possible to identify the origins of the Italian Catholic crisis of the sixties : the divorce between faith and politics and the decline of the political system. | ||
