Auch das Wissen über die Domkapitel, und, in geringerem Maße, über die Stiftskapitel, hat Fortschritte gemacht, ohne jedoch eine nationale oder das gesamte Mittelalter umspannende Synthese bieten zu können. Aus diesem Grund arbeitet ein Team von Forschern seit mehreren Jahren an der Auflistung der Stiftskirchen, die in der Zeit von 816 bis 1530 gegründet wurden, und kündigt eine baldige Veröffentlichung im Internet an. Diese zurzeit im Aufbau befindliche Informationsquelle bietet eine institutionelle Beschreibung der verschiedenen Bauwerke und wird es über kurz oder lang möglich machen, eine vollständige Typologie dieser Art von Kirchen in einem großen geographischen Maßstab zu erstellen. Es bleibt zu hoffen, dass das Zurverfügungstellung dieses neuen Hilfsmittels eine verfeinerte Erfassung der religiösen Infrastrukturen des Mittelalters ermöglichen wird. | ||
| 520 | |a If French historiography over the past fifty years has explored the field of canonical history, it has mostly been to the advantage of the canons regular following the rule of Saint Augustine. Knowledge of the capitular world of cathedrals and, to a lesser extent, of secular collegiate churches has also progressed but without proposing a synthesis on a national scale and for the whole medieval period. That is why a team of researchers has been working for a number of years on an inventory of collegiate churches founded in the period ranging from 816 to 1530 and announces that it will soon be placed online. The data base being assembled proposes an institutional description of the establishments included and will, in the end, aid us in reconstituting a complete typology of this type of church on a vast geographical scale. Hopefully putting this new type of tool at our disposal will lead to a better understanding of the structures of religious entourage in the medieval period. | ||
